When trading share CFDs on our platform, a commission is charged to your account when you execute an order.
View our examples to learn how we calculate commission on share CFDs. You can also see our commission rates by country in the table below.
The commission rate on a Spanish share CFD is 0.10% (10/100ths of 1%), subject to a minimum commission charge of €9.00.
A 2500 unit trade in Banco Santander at a price of 5.20 would incur a commission of €13.00 based on the following calculation:
2500 (units) x 5.20 (price) = €13,000 x 0.10% = €13.00
But a 1000 unit trade in Banco Santander at a price of 5.20 would incur a minimum commission charge of €9.00 based on the following calculation:
1000 (units) x 5.20 (price) = €5200 x 0.10% = €5.20
Since the actual commission on this trade is less than our €9.00 minimum commission charge, we have instead applied the minimum commission charge of €9.00.
The commission for a US share is 2 US cents per share, subject to a minimum commission charge of $10.
So a 600 unit trade in Caterpillar at a price of 80.95 would incur a commission of $12.00 based on the following calculation:
600 (units) x $0.02 (commission charge per unit) = $12.00
But a 300 unit trade in Caterpillar at a price of 80.95 would incur a minimum commission charge of $10.00 based on the following calculation:
300 (units) x $0.02 (commission charge per unit) = $6.00
The actual commission on this trade is less than the $10.00 minimum commission charge on US share CFDs, so instead the minimum commission charge of $10.00 is applied.
