CMC Markets 2019 Market Outlook

Standing on solid economic footprint, the US Federal Reserve is firm in normalising interest rates and tightening monetary policy. Donald Trump’s tax reform fuelled the US corporate earnings, sending stock market to record high. On the other hand, Emerging Markets suffered from severe capital outflow in 2018 as dollar strengthened. Will this trend carry on into 2019 and further squeeze emerging markets’ asset bubble? Will US-China trade war hurt global economic growth and ultimately trigger credit crisis? Will we see more tumbling in EM currencies such as Turkish Lira and Argentina Peso? How can investors position themselves against the headwind of trade risk and rising interest rates? Join CMC Markets' last major conference for year 2018 and find out the answers from market experts.
