Our Advanced Charting package is built for both power and simplicity. Designed to be visually appealing and easy to use, it's packed with features to help you analyze and interpret market data with precision.
Getting Started
To launch advanced charts, either type a stock code into the search bar at the top left of the main screen or hover over a stock code, click 'Charts', then select 'Launch Advanced Charts'.
Once inside, switching between stocks is simple—just type a new code into the same top-left field. If using a watchlist, clicking on a stock brings up its chart instantly, making it easy to browse and compare.
Customizing the Chart
The Settings tab offers control over nearly every aspect of the chart. Change the background colour, fonts, gridlines, axis styles, and cursor type. Adjust timeframes, candle intervals, and how much historical data is shown.
Zoom in or out by dragging the top-right corner of the chart or scrolling over the chart with the mouse. This gives precise control over how much data is displayed.
Choosing Chart Types
Under the 'Candles' tab, switch between different price chart types. Choose from candlesticks, bar charts, line charts, or others—whatever suits the current analysis.
Adding Technical Studies
Use the Studies tab to add technical indicators. Indicators that overlay on the price chart—like Moving Averages and Bollinger Bands—are listed at the top. Those that appear in separate panels—such as RSI, MACD, and Stochastics—are listed below.
After adding an indicator, adjust its settings, hide or show it, and change styles or parameters through the dialog box or directly on the chart.
Using Drawing Tools
On the left-hand toolbar, access drawing tools to annotate charts with trend lines, Fibonacci levels, shapes, and more. Select a tool and click on the chart to use it. Manage drawings through the Tools in Use tab to hide, modify, or delete them as needed.
Comparing Stocks
The Compare function lets multiple stocks be overlaid on the same chart. This is great for visually comparing performance over time. Add two, three, or even more stocks, then use the comparison dialog box to hide, edit, or remove them.
Saving and Using Presets
After setting up a chart with a preferred timeframe, indicators, and drawings, save the setup using the Preset function. This makes it easy to switch between different analysis layouts. Once everything looks right, hit Update Setting to save.
Combining presets with watchlists creates a fast, efficient workflow for monitoring and analyzing multiple stocks.
