Creating personalised and customisable watchlists on our Next Generation platform is an essential part of a successful trading strategy. The product library allows users to save their lists as watchlists. For example, a list of favourite commodities can be saved by naming it, like "Fav Products," and clicking 'Save' to create a new watchlist.
Customisations
Watchlists offer various customisation options. From the top right, there's a drop-down menu that enables users to open a price ticker-tape across the platform or a Reuters news module specific to the watchlist products. The watchlist can also be edited by changing the name and colours.
The watchlist displays product names, daily highs and lows, percentage changes, and quick access to buy/sell order tickets. It can be sorted by performance, making it useful as a market scanner, or alphabetically. Charts opened within the watchlist are saved, and any analysis performed is automatically stored.
A chart's icon changes when saved with trend lines or analysis. Users can unlock saved charts by clicking on the product again. This feature helps make the most of screen space, especially when multiple watchlists are used for different products.
Creating multiple watchlists
It’s recommended to set up multiple watchlists for various product types, such as equities, commodities, or indices. Mapping Reuters news to watchlists enhances information management, making it easier to track specific products and their updates. The watchlist offers more than just a product list; its features and functionalities are quite extensive.
