The Vanguard FTSE 100 UCITS ETF (VUKE) is a passively managed exchange-traded fund that aims to track the performance of the FTSE 100 stock index. Created in 2012 with total assets of £3.8bn, the fund is made up of approximately 100 UK stocks with the highest market capitalisations. VUKE represents a range of major industries within the UK economy, such as oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, finance, defence, consumer goods, utilities and transport. It has a low expense ratio of 0.09%. Top-weighted holdings of the fund include Shell, AstraZeneca, HSBC, Unilever, British American Tobacco, Glencore and Diageo.
