Pensana is a British rare earth exploration and development company that is building the world’s first sustainable magnet metal supply chain. This is to meet demand from industries such as electric vehicles and offshore wind energy, which the company forecasts will drive an increase in magnet metal demand of between 350% and 1,500% over the next 20 years. Pensana was founded in 2006 with headquarters in London. Its flagship project in the UK is the Saltend rare earth refinery in East Yorkshire. In Angola, where the company also operates, its main undertaking is the Longonjo neodymium and praseodymium (NdPr) project. It has additional offices in Leeds, UK and Perth, Australia.
