Land Securities, or Landsec, is a British real estate investment trust (REIT) and one of the UK’s largest commercial property developers and investment companies. It was founded in 1944 with headquarters in London. The company’s property portfolio of 24 million square feet is worth more than £12bn and spans retail, leisure, workspace and residential properties. Examples of its properties include Piccadilly Lights in London, Westgate Oxford and Trinity Leeds. Around 65% of Landsec’s portfolio is focused on Central London, primarily between major retail destinations and mixed-use urban neighbourhoods.
