Archer Aviation is a US aerospace company focused on the manufacture of all-electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. It was founded in 2018 and has headquarters in California. The company designs and engineers eVTOL technology with the mission of creating a more sustainable option for air mobility. Archer’s first full scale luxury aircraft, Maker, utilises 12 motors and is capable of travelling at speeds of up to 150mph for 60 miles, producing zero emissions. It uses a lithium-ion based system for the aircraft’s batteries and boasts other features such as multiple sensors, an air data system, ergonomic seats, a 270-degree view from the wrap-around window, and a 13-inch passenger touch screen, all while being barely audible.
