American Airlines is a US airline holding company with headquarters in Texas. The company was formed in 2013 by the merger of AMR Corporation and US Airways Group. All flights now operate under the AA brand, which is the largest airline in the world in terms of fleet size and number of carried passengers. It operates nearly 6,700 flights a day, both domestically and internationally, to 350 destinations in 50 countries. It also owns a number of subsidiaries, including regional carriers such as Envoy Air, American Eagle, Piedmont Airlines and PSA Airlines. The company is a founding member of the Oneworld alliance.
