How do I register for the competition?

To be considered as registered, you must:

Open a new competition Next Gen account using the registration link.
A CMC representative will contact you and guide you through the process. This must be completed between 8:00 AM SGT on 30 April 2025 and 2:00 PM SGT on 13 May 2025.

How do I qualify for the competition prizes?

You must:

Not place any trades on the competition account before the start time.
Be fully registered by 2:00 PM SGT on 13 May 2025. Only standard Next Gen accounts are eligible.
Have a new competition NextGen account before the start of the competition.

Is there a minimum deposit required to participate?

Yes, the minimum deposit is S$1,000.

How are winners determined?

Winners are ranked based on Return on Investment(ROI) using the formula set out in the terms of the competition. Please note that depositing or withdrawing funds during the competition may affect the ROI and your rank.

When will prizes be awarded?

Prizes will be credited to winners’ competition accounts within 14 days after the competition ends.

What happens to my competition account after the competition?

You may continue using your competition account as a live trading account.

How often is the leaderboard updated?

The leaderboard is updated every 5 minutes during the competition.

Can I transfer trades from another account into my competition account?

No, trades must be placed within the competition account to be eligible. Transfer of trades are not allowed.

How will I know which account is my competition account?

A CMC representative will contact you after registration to confirm and guide you through identifying your competition account.

When does registration for the competition end?

Registration closes at 2:00 PM SGT on 13 May 2025.

When does the competition start and end?

The competition runs from 5:00AM SGT on 14 May 2025 to 5:00AM SGT on 31 May 2025.

What happens to open trades when the competition ends?

Unrealised profits and losses will be counted in the ROC calculation. Any open trades at the end of the competition will be included in ROC calculations. After the competition you may continue using your competition account as a live trading account.

What happens if I trade before the competition starts?

Placing any trades on your competition account before 5:00AM SGT on 14 May 2025 will result in disqualification.

What instruments can I trade during the competition?

You can trade all instruments available on the CMC Markets NextGen platform—FX, indices, shares, commodities, and more.

Can I register on behalf of someone else?

No, each participant must register individually. Registrations made on behalf of others will not be accepted.

How are prizes awarded and can I withdraw them?

Prizes are credited directly to your competition account. Cash prizes can be withdrawn. Trading credits (S$500 trading credits for 4th to 10th place) can only be used to trade and cannot be withdrawn as cash.
