To open a demo account, you just need to enter your email address, and password. Once you’ve opened your demo account, we’ll send a verification link to your registered email address. Simply select the link to activate your account, and that’s it. You can start using your demo account.
No, you can keep your demo account open for as long as you like and continue using it, even after you've opened a live account.
Add more virtual funds at any time via the 'Funding' menu from the top-left profile icon, or the ‘Add Funds’ button which is highlighted on the top right of the platform. This means that you can continue to practise trading on indices, forex, commodities, shares, ETFs, rates, bonds and more.
Please note that shares are available in demo accounts for a limited period of 30 days for most countries, once you’ve activated the subscription. UK and Italy shares are available for up to a calendar month, from when you activate the subscription. Activate shares from these countries on the first of the month to maximise your trading window.
You can activate market data feeds from our trading platform by selecting the 'Market Data' window from the 'Settings' tab and activating the individual countries you would like to have access to. Please note: this is free for a spread betting account, but in some countries there may be a cost with a CFD trading account. Find out more about market data fees
To apply for a live trading account, follow these steps:
PC/laptop: Log in to your demo account, select the ‘Open a Live Account’ button at the top of the screen and follow the on-screen instructions.
iOS: Open the app and log in, then select the 'More' button (with the three dots), tap the ‘Open a Live Account’ button, and follow the on-screen instructions.
Android: Open the app and log in, then tap the three lines at the top of the screen, tap ‘Open a Live Account’, and follow the on-screen instructions.
