ANZ Share Investing has transitioned to CMC Markets Invest

In 2021, ANZ and CMC Markets agreed to transition customers from ANZ Share Investing to CMC Markets Invest. The opportunity to continue supporting avid Australian investors saw CMC Markets Invest become the second-largest stockbroker in Australia.

This transition finished on 15 March 2023 and ANZ Share Investing is now closed.

    Self-transition starts

    ANZ Share Investing customers were invited to transition to CMC Markets Invest.

  • Mar 2023

    Transition complete

    All remaining ANZ Share Investing accounts automatically transitioned to CMC Markets Invest on 15 March 2023.

If by 15 March 2023 you did not self-transition your account to CMC Markets Invest, we have automatically transitioned your account on this date.

If your account was automatically transitioned by us, you will need to confirm your identity by following the steps below to set up your new CMC Markets Invest account details and continue trading.

  • Step 1:
    To confirm your details, go to the self-service set-up link here, where you have the option to enter your ANZ Share Investing User ID. If you don't have your User ID you will still be able to proceed with the verification process.
  • Step 2:
    You will go through a 2-step verification process and be asked for additional information to verify your identity. Make sure you have at least one of the following when trying to access your account:
    • your trading PIN;
    • the stocks you currently hold (if any);
    • details of your settlement account (the account used to settle your trades); and
    • your HIN number.
  • Step 3:
    Once your identity is confirmed, please follow the prompts to log in to your CMC Markets Invest account.
