About Land Rover BAR
Ben Ainslie Racing (BAR) was launched in June 2014, to lead a British challenge and aim to win the America’s Cup for the first time. A year later, as the team moved in to its state-of-the-art base in Portsmouth, the team unveiled Land Rover as its principal partner, and the team was rebranded as Land Rover BAR.
The team is led by four-time Olympic champion Sir Ben Ainslie, the most successful Olympic sailor of all time. As well as a multiple European and World champion, Ben's expertise helped Team Oracle USA defend the 34th America's Cup in 2013, as the US team triumphed 9 races to 8 having trailed 8-1.
