CMC Markets’ US election marketing push helps traders come up trumps

14 October 2016

CMC Markets, one of the leading global providers of online trading, has used the increased interest being generated by the US presidential election as inspiration for a fully integrated marketing campaign designed to help traders “take a better position”.

Leveraging the heightened uncertainty of the global markets during September and October, CMC Markets has launched creative tactical adverts across print and online media.

As a part of the campaign, CMC Markets has also launched a dedicated hub page on its UK website housing a collection of informative content including:

  • animated videos speculating on the effect of either outcome on the financial markets
  • an infographic explaining how the US election process works
  • a ‘did you know?’ article outlining some of the idiosyncrasies of the US election
  • a poll to capture opinion on which candidate is likely to win
  • a series of market reports, designed to provide traders with expert insight and analysis exploring the potential effects of the election from a variety of financial markets angles. The reports are compiled by its global team of analysts from across a number of territories, including the UK, Canada, Germany, Australia and Singapore.

This initiative is a continuation of CMC Markets’ drive to help traders take a better position on volatile markets, by harnessing the opportunities generated by world news and highlighting the effects that significant events can have on global markets.

The campaign will continue as the race to the White House enters its final stages in the coming weeks.

David Hodge, Chief Commercial Officer at CMC Markets, commented: “The current US presidential election campaign continues to generate significant global interest particularly amongst traders looking at the opportunities a win for either candidate will create in the financial markets.”
