With the Brexit bill having received royal assent last week, the path now appears to be clear for Theresa May to trigger Article 50 and start the formal Brexit process. With two EU gatherings coming up, this could be an opportune week for Brexit, particularly around the EU leaders summit on 25 March.
Reports have suggested that the prime minister may tour around the EU before the trigger, so Brexit could be in the news throughout the week, along with UK inflation. While political developments may capture the spotlight, action in sterling and the FTSE suggests UK markets may also be approaching a significant turning point.
