Will Apple’s earnings ignite its share price?
Tuesday: There was a mixed reception for Apple’s new iPhone7 initially, but exploding batteries from rival Samsung have sent Apple's share price soaring on hopes that sales will be revived.

Are UK banks out of pocket?
Wednesday-Friday: How has the low interest-rate environment – and the latest Bank of England rate cut in August – impacted the profitability of UK-focused banks? Lloyds (Wed), Barclays (Thu) and RBS (Fri) report Q3 earnings.

Tesla shares stuck in reverse
Wednesday: Tesla shares have unwound most of the reprieve from higher electric car production numbers in the third quarter. Concerns over the planned merger with Solar City and 'autopilot' deaths abound ahead of Q3 results.

Can Twitter’s results attract more followers?  
Thursday: Twitter shares jumped by a third on hopes of a takeover, but then gave it all back within a month after its suitors, including Google and Salesforce, backed off. A big rise in subscribers is needed.

What role will Pixel play in Google’s earnings?  
Thursday: Google fortuitously released its first own-brand smartphone just as Samsung ran into trouble, but advertising revenues from its search business and spending at the 'moon-shot' division will dictate the reaction to earnings.

Amazon expected to deliver earnings growth
Thursday: As 'Black Friday' sales draw nearer, earnings estimates continue to rise at Amazon, largely thanks to its successful Web Services division. The company has recently delved into music streaming and broadband.

Q3 results from oil behemoths
Friday: The OPEC decision to cut output has helped oil prices reach a one-year high, which could make this one of the last quarters to see big earnings declines at oil majors like Chevron and Exxon Mobil.
