Thursday: Parent company Alphabet posts results from Google’s two separate businesses of internet and innovation. Will we get an update on Google's plans to expand into hardware to compete with Apple and Facebook?
Will Microsoft struggle to keep up with last year's results?
Thursday: Microsoft generally outperforms in Q2 due to sales in the Thanksgiving and Christmas periods, but a lack of any recent product upgrade may leave the company struggling to beat 2016 like-for-like numbers.
Has Unilever recovered from 2016’s Marmite controversy?
Thursday: Last year's spat with Tesco over plans to increase prices on some of its products left Unilever with a sour taste in its mouth. This week’s full-year results could show what effect, if any, exchange rate movements have had on Unilever's margins and profitability.
Will Q1 results show Sky gaining conversions after Sky Q update?
Thursday: The recently-renewed bid by Twenty-First Century Fox caused a sharp 20% jump in Sky's share price after a slow decline in 2016. We may also get an update on the new Sky Q product, which finally appears to be gaining conversions.
