Big moves in US stocks today off earnings reports

Although US indices are off slightly today, there has been a lot of action in individual US names off of earnings reports. Leading decliners are mainly on the tech side with AMD down 16.3%, MicroSoft down 9.2% and Google down 2.6%. Mattel is down for a second straight day, falling another 3.1%. Leading gainers today include Whirlpool rising 7.0% after the appliance maker raised full year EPS guidance, General Electric up 4.6%, Schlumberger up 4.4% in oilfield services and credit card provider COF up 4.4%.
