Will the ECB drag its heels over Brexit?

No action is expected in Thursday's ECB meeting, with policymakers in a wait-and-see mode after monetary easing was implemented in June. The markets will be keen, however, to hear ECB president Mario Draghi's official reaction to the UK's vote to leave the EU.

The week ahead

It's not just big US technology companies on the docket as far as US earnings are concerned. After the sharp sell-off in bank shares witnessed this year, earnings from Bank of America, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley will be closely scrutinised this week.
