Smithson Investment Trust is a British investment trust established in 2010 with headquarters in London. Its aim is to help investors gain exposure to a portfolio of small and medium-sized global companies with a market capitalisation of between £500m and £15bn through a single investment. The fund invests in approximately 25 to 40 companies in the long term that it believes can compound in value in the future, covering a wide range of sectors, including information technology, industrials, healthcare, consumer discretionary, and financials. It’s focused on the US and UK mainly, but also dabbles in Australian, Swiss, German, and Danish stocks, among others.
