Professional development

We want to ensure that everyone who works at CMC Markets has the skills and confidence to perform at their best, and keeps progressing as quickly as the world around us. That’s why we have a significant training budget and provide a wide range of learning and development resources, ranging from on-the-job coaching and mentoring to webinars and access to our LinkedIn Learning partnership. We encourage attendance at relevant external events and, where appropriate, sponsor our people to undertake formal, industry recognised training courses and achieve professional qualifications.


We encourage open communication throughout our business and recognise the importance of regular feedback.  Our appraisal process exists to improve organisational efficiency by ensuring that our people perform to the best of their ability and develop their potential which in turn leads to improved business performance.  Outside of this process we encourage line managers to carry out regular one-to-one sessions.

Apprenticeship levy (UK only)

Apprenticeships enable us to develop highly-skilled employees, whether that be providing a new opportunity for people to join our business or re-training our existing people.  Develop a wide range of personal and technical skills through a number of programmes, which will enable you to take away a recognised qualification – you could even earn yourself a Degree, so why not learn whilst you earn!

We engage with all employees to capture what it means to work at CMC and how we want our employees to feel whilst at work. These principles not only unite us, they help us to recruit employees aligned to our ways of working.
